Monday December 19, 2011: Board of Selectmen's Meeting, 6:30pm at the Town Offices. Mount Vernon Selectmen meet every other Monday.

Activities

Saturday January 21, 2012: The Mount Vernon Community Partnership (CPC) is holding its third annual Minnehonk Lake Community Group meeting, 11:30am  at the Mount Vernon Community Center. The purpose of the meetings is to help stem the runoff that pollutes the lake, and much has been accomplished as a result over the past two years. This year there will be a slide presentation of an assessment of a stream that enters into the lake by Jennifer Jespersen, a water-quality expert who is a member of the CPC, and discussion of future activities to keep Minnehonk clean. All are welcome. Please contact Sandy Wright at 293-2582 for more information.

Saturday February 18, 2012: The Mount Vernon Community Partnership (CPC) is holding a Public Forum with a presentation by the USDA Rural Development at the Mount Vernon Community Center. Rural Development has many, many programs for businesses, institutions (such as schools and the fire department), and individuals in rural communities through grants and low-interest loans. Please contact Sandy Wright at 293-2582 for more information.
