Come Visit Mount Vernon, Maine

From the North: Take Interstate 95 South to Exit 109B. Take Route 17 West for 12 miles; note that 17W takes a right hand turn in Manchester.  At Kents Hill, bear right onto Route 41 North. The village of Mount Vernon is located 6.5 miles down Route 41 between Kents Hill and Farmington Falls.

From the South: Take Interstate 95 North to Exit 109. Bear left on the exit onto Rte. 17 West (towards Winthrop). Take Route 17 West for 12 miles; note that 17W takes a right hand turn in Manchester. At Kents Hill, bear right onto Route 41 North. The village of Mount Vernon is located 6.5 miles down Route 41 between Kents Hill and Farmington Falls.

From US Route 2: At Farmington Falls, take Route 41 South for 10 miles. (Farmington Falls is east of Farmington on US 2) The village of Mount Vernon is just south of Vienna on Route 41.

Getting Around the Village of Mount Vernon

We have an unbeatable Country Store, and Flying Pond Variety Store has great pizza.

Along Pond Road south of the Country Store you'll find gift shops with unique items, and galleries of local art.

Enjoy a bowl of homemade soup or a freshly baked muffin at the Old Post Office Cafe on Minnehonk Lake.

On Saturday mornings, visit the Community Center for coffee and homemade goodies.

During the summer months, relax at the town beach and discover other activities at the Community Center.
