About the Newsletter

Any Mount Vernon group or organization is welcome to put an item in the community newsletter.
Please email your item to the editor by the 15th of the month prior to the month you want the article to appear.

Advertising costs
$15 month
$75 for 6 months
$150 for 12 months

Ad sizes*
Business card up to 1/4 page:  3.5" X 2" (7 in²) up to 4" X 3.5" (14 in²)

The newsletter does not accept business ads larger than those indicated above.

*All sizes are approximate and may be adjusted larger or smaller to accommodate layout of the newsletter.

All ads must be prepaid at the town office.
 

Newsletter Schedule

The newsletter is printed and mailed monthly, except for April and October when it appears as an online edition only on the Town's website. The January and February editions are combined into one "Winter Edition" that is printed and mailed by February 1.

Attention Mount Vernon Residents

New Distribution System for the Mount Vernon Community Newsletter starts in February.

Beginning with the “Winter Edition” on February 1, 2010 the Mount Vernon Community Newsletter will be mailed to Mount Vernon residents as an insert in the Lakes Region Reader, a local monthly newspaper that is currently mailed to all Mount Vernon residents.

This change requires that the submission date for articles for the newsletter be changed from the 22nd of each month to the 15th of the month to ensure adequate time for printing and delivery to the Lakes Region Reader.

Delivery to out of town recipients will continue as direct mail. All other aspects of the newsletter will remain the same.
